AEI Base Camp Covid-19 Update

Covid-19 Summer Update

Hello AEI guests and participants!  The safety and health of our staff and guests continues to be a top priority. Unlike other organizations, we are a seasonal operation and no one is currently at AEI Base Camp (closed for the season).  We are happy to report that our full-time staff and families are safe and healthy in their off-season locations.  Our nation is in unprecedented times as we are taking preventative measures to combat and not contract COVID-19 (Coronavirus).  We are closely tracking the constantly changing CDC, Colorado, and local health regulations relative to this pandemic.  We plan to open for the 2020 Summer season and we want everyone to have positive and impactful outdoor experiences with us.  Maybe now, more than any time in recent history, we believe everyone is in need of community, adventure, challenge, refreshing and refocusing. We intend to pursue that reality this summer! We will adhere to the most recent state and local guidelines and regulations upon opening.  We ask that our guests and staff wear their flexible hats as we try to tackle this pandemic together.  We know God is in control and He has great plans for us, this summer and in the future!

Can’t wait to see you off grid!

AEI Base Camp Staff

Frequently Asked Questions:

What will staff, guests and participants do to minimize the spread of COVID-19 while at AEI Base Camp?

We will wash our hand for a minimum of 20 seconds with soap and water: regularly, before and after meals, after going to the restroom, and other times deemed appropriate.  All guests and participants will be asked to take their temperature upon arrival and during your stay at AEI Base Camp.  Please tell a staff member immediately if they are experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, fatigue, difficulty breathing, etc.).  AEI staff will wipe down commonly touched surfaces and clean commonly used areas daily.  Sick employees will not return to work until they are symptom free.  All of these protocols are within our normal policies and procedures and we need your help to follow them.

If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms prior to arriving at AEI Base Camp or have been in close contact with someone else that has symptoms, do you still come to AEI Base Camp?

NO.  Please stay home and get better.  We recommend that you are symptom free and/or not in contact with a person with COVID-19 symptoms for at least 14 days prior to traveling to AEI Base Camp.  We want to minimize the spread of this contagious virus and want you to experience our activities when you are well.

What if a group is not able to come this summer?  Can we get our money back?

Please outreach our full time staff for further details.  We understand that COVID-19 is putting undue financial stress on families at this time and we want have a conversation with you.
